We are mature aged travellers, interested in expanding our life experiences and have found house sitting and pet sitting to be a wonderful way of doing it. As mature people (in our early 60's), we have extensive life experience in building, owning and investing in our own properties, looking after and loving our own pets, (Indy and Muffy), and raised 2 children who have now built successful lives of their own.
We have traveled overseas extensively with tours, back packing and volunteering in Africa, where we managed and looked after a Lion and Tiger breeding park, taught English to African children and business principles to the local Masai. Over the years we have spent time as house sitters, house sitting and pet sitting for friends, family and others, and then expanded that to doing it for people like you, who just want to get away, and be secure in the knowledge that their home and pets are being cared for by experienced, responsible, honest and loving people. We are both semi-retired professionals who own and operate our respective businesses online over the internet, so we have the freedom of working from anywhere. Age: 61 Occupations/Businesses: Administration, Bookkeeping, Sales Co-coordinator, Office manager, Festival Director, Sales Training & Coaching & Life Coach, Motel Relief Manager, Online Marketing Interests: Traveling, Reading, Walking, Animals, Personal Development, Walking Camino's, Living What's Given Jill grew up in Melbourne and spent much of her adult life there raising her own family with Gavin. She lived an active family life in the suburbs, involved with the local community and sporting groups, with her boys.
Jill started her working life in libraries, where she developed a passion for books and reading, and then moved onto administration and bookkeeping. Throughout this time Jill experienced being a tenant in rental properties, being a landlord of investment properties and being a homeowner, having built her own home with Gavin, and designed and maintained her own gardens. Jill has had pets (dogs, cats, fish & birds) in her life since a very young age and loves spending time and caring for animals. It wasn’t until the children were grown that she experienced overseas travel, touring Europe and the Greek Isles. More recently enjoying independent travel in South East Asia and also spending a couple of months in Africa on volunteer projects, which included raising lion and tiger cubs. Travel has broadened Jill’s perceptions and life experience, and reinforced the importance of trusting and using your intuition These experiences and important learning’s have all contributed to her Life Coaching ability & studies. She is also passionate about natural therapies and personal development, choosing to be of service to others to assist them in self-healing and personal transformation. Both of these modalities provide Jill with the freedom to travel and work anywhere in the world. Having a real appreciation for the beauty and travel opportunities she looks forward to experiencing and discovering more adventures, meeting new people and caring for animals. |
Gavin
Grew Up: Melbourne VIC, Australia
Lived & Traveled: Australia, USA, Europe, UK, NZ, Africa, Bali, Asia, India & more... Age: 61 Occupations / Businesses: Aircraft Engineer, Simulation Officer, Group Quality Assurance Manager, Lead Quality Auditor, Business Systems Development Manager, Festival Event Manager, Online Business Consultant, Motel Relief Manager, Online Marketin Interests: Online Design, Scuba Diving, Travel, Camping, Photography, Walking Camino's, Living What's Given Gavin grew up in Melbourne Victoria. He started working in the Aviation industry as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and spent his time working on, maintaining and modifying both commercial and private jet aircraft. He then transferred to simulation where he developed a passion for electronics and software programming.
This eventually led to systems development and quality assurance were Gavin really started to appreciate the importance of problem solving, integrity and trust. During this time Gavin got married, raised two boys, 2 cats and one dog. Bought his first house then sold it, owner built his second house and developed a lot of skills which have proved to very handy in many situations. Gavin also developed a passion for traveling, and when the kids left home to find their way in the world, he started to explore it. Traveling to many places and seeing many different cultures and situations has given Gavin a great awareness for giving back and the value of service. This has come to be a main theme in his life and guides much of what he does and achieves today. Currently he runs his own online business which gives him the freedom to do the things that he loved such as further travel, volunteering, looking after animals and living in new places. |
